Grand Haven Community Center

Grand Haven, Michigan

The additions and renovation to the Grand Haven Community Center included a new 590 square foot enclosed main entry allowing an enlarged environmentally controlled entry from the sidewalk from Columbus Avenue. The existing planter bed on Columbus Avenue was removed and transformed into an exterior patio area.

The existing exterior concrete stairs from the west entry were removed and replaced with new concrete stairs and steel handrails. The existing clay tile fascia wrapping around the perimeter of the building was removed and replaced with metal panels to match the existing building.

A new concrete ramp and stairs were poured for the south entrance to allow a barrier-free entrance along with matching aluminum storefronts. A new aluminum entrance was installed from the existing building to allow access to the new exterior patio area. The patio area also has ten permanently installed tables to accommodate seating for forty people.
